ROYAL MYCONIAN, MYKONOS, GREECE

WELCOME

For tour managers, GTL Sessions is a chance to come together at a stunning five-star resort to network and discuss important topics affecting touring life. For high-end hoteliers, luxury transport companies and top-tier travel companies, it’s your opportunity to have strategic meetings with our delegates to specify upcoming tours, make lasting connections and collaborate on a global scale.

GTL Sessions is presented by TPi Magazine, the leading B2B publication for the live touring industry. As an established name in the sector for over two decades, we pride ourselves on producing ‘on the ground’ coverage, speaking to the crew on the road who make some of the world’s biggest shows possible.

GTL Sessions comprises four key elements: Speed+Sync meetings, Symposia speaker sessions, Sustenance breakouts, and Social celebrations.

In an era where every business trip must be accounted for, the GTL Sessions pledge is simple: to provide an equal platform for hoteliers and transport companies to meet with tour managers and travel companies looking to book their services for upcoming tours.

SPEED+SYNC

Attendees from the hotel and luxury transport sector will have 20 x 20-minute meetings – pre-arranged – with an exclusively curated list of tour managers and travel companies, providing an opportunity to pitch services and specify upcoming tours for collaboration.

How do we curate Speed+Sync?

Delegates of GTL Sessions will be asked to provide proof of their upcoming tours and collaborations with artists to secure their place at the event.

Suppliers pick a wish list of their Top 5 meetings, while also providing criteria for the remainder of their meetings.

SYMPOSIA

Alongside the Speed+Sync networking sessions, GTL will feature thought-provoking content through a series of presentations, curated by TPi Magazine.

Covering a variety of subjects – from sustainable touring and the requirements of the modern touring artist to the importance of health and wellbeing on tour – the Symposia sessions provide an opportunity to gain exclusive insights on the sector’s hottest topics from well-respected industry experts.

Speakers

Tamsin Embleton
Founder of the Music Industry Therapist Collective (MITC) and Author of ‘Touring and Mental Health: The Industry Manual’

‘I am delighted to host a GTL session in Greece next year, where we will explore how tour managers and travel partners can improve living and working conditions for those who tour. We know that touring can be rewarding and exhilarating in many ways but what is also true is that intensive touring can contribute to physical and psychological decline. Join me on this deep dive, where I present the findings of Touring and Mental Health: the Music Industry Manual, and we tap into the resourcefulness of tour managers, production managers and their teams, helping you to create healthier and happier tours.’

Paul Jones
Director
Ethix Management

“I have been representing freelancers for many years, so I am thrilled to be able to voice their opinions at the inaugural GTL Sessions. In collaboration with LIVE (Live music industry venues and entertainment), Handle Freelancer Solutions and Suzi Green from The Back Lounge Touring Group, we recently detailed the results of our survey into the hidden side of freelancing. I am excited to share these insights and share with colleagues who are the forefront of the live music industry.”

Stu Phillips
Tour Manager/Consultant & Managing Director
House of Tours.

Steev Toth
Tour Manager

“I feel incredibly humbled and privileged to be invited as a speaker at this year’s GTL Sessions and excited to catch up with industry peers in Mykonos. Our industry is in crisis especially at grassroots level and as such we need to embrace new technology and innovate how we currently tour. I believe that we at House of Tours Global have a solution, and I cannot wait to talk about it officially at GTL.”

Paul Traynor
Stage Manager and Head Electrician
Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour

“I am looking forward to the GTL sessions, speaking about the experiences we have had on tour regarding sustainability. Also meeting up with my industry peers, to discuss further the future of sustainable touring. Listening to new ideas and proposals on how we can, as an industry attain the goals we need to become a leading force in sustainable forums and help to enlighten the fans and other industries to follow suit.”

Chris Palmer
Managing Director at Rock-it Cargo

“GTL Sessions promises to be a coming together of the key players in the future of Global Live Touring in a truly magical setting, and I am thrilled to have been asked to share my insights on the logistics of touring and to spend some time with like-minded souls who care deeply about the future of our industry.”

Roeland Veugelen
Founder and CEO, Tourmanagement.com

“I’m excited to speak at GTL Sessions about how Tourmanagement.com can enhance tour management by ensuring everyone is well-informed and focused, thus facilitating smoother, more efficient tours. As the founder, I developed our platform to address the challenges I experienced firsthand—specifically, the chaotic, fragmented nature of life on the road. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and look forward to exploring how we can address these evolving industry dynamics together.”

SUSTENANCE

Designed to allow you to escape, regenerate and rebuild, in beautiful, special surroundings. Conversations kick-started by our Speed+Sync and Symposia sessions will continue into these casual networking events interspersed throughout – be it a breakfast brainstorm, a catch-up over coffee or a light local lunch. We will also be focusing on health and wellbeing.

SOCIAL

Each evening, we will come together as friends to unwind and enjoy the spectacular surroundings.

Designed to help solidify the long-lasting relationships formed during the event, Social Sessions may include organised dinners, hosted excursions or free time to share ideas, strike up new friendships and swap contacts with your fellow attendees.

UNIQUE

Why GTL Sessions?

Our event is hosted at a luxury 5-star resort in Mykonos, across 3 days.

You will be able to provide a wish list of your Top 5 meetings and provide criteria to match you with 15 other attendees.

Alongside your 20 strategic meetings, our whole delegates list will be with us for the duration of the event, providing you with ample opportunities to connect and build relationships with them.

This is not a tradeshow event. All attendees are treated equally and there aren’t any tiers when it comes to sponsorship or partnerships, which gives an equal platform to everyone.

Finally, we have lasting and trusting relationships with tour managers, coming from over 20 years of experience covering the touring industry.

GTL Sessions is presented by TPi Magazine, TPiMEA Magazine, the TPi Awards and the TPiMEA Awards.
